Hist & Theory Workshop

The History & Theory workshop is an interdisciplinary group of faculty and students who meet to read, discuss and present broad questions of method and historiography including: the relation of culture and politics, agency and structure, individual and society, and theories of social, cultural, and historical transformation. In addition to those working specifically on these issues we welcome and encourage all others to present their work and consider it in relation to these themes.

Contact Robert Stolz (rsp6a@virginia.edu) or Justin McBrien (jdm8fc@virginia.edu) to set up a presentation. You can stay in touch with upcoming events by clicking “follow” on the H&T site.
